Sally Davies began her leadership career as Head of Thriftwood School in 2000. She is now the Executive Principal and CEO of the SEAX Trust, having recently retired from her position of Executive Headteacher at Thriftwood School & College, a thriving Special Needs Academy based in Chelmsford. Thriftwood expanded further in April 2015, when it sponsored Langham Oaks Special Needs School in Colchester, forming the SEAX Multi-Academy Trust. Grove House School in Brentwood joined the Trust in October 2017.
Director of Governance & Compliance, Catherine joined the SEAX Trust in August 2018 having previously worked as a clerk for maintained schools. She had also worked as a teacher in both secondary and primary settings before moving across to school governance. Catherine has a passion for education and is committed to ensuring effective governance across the Trust. Catherine’s role also encompasses Company Secretary for SEAX.
Jackie has over 20 years experience of finance in schools, moving from the maintained primary sector to Thriftwood Special School (Academy) in 2014. She is now the Director of Business at SEAX Trust, working closely with the Business staff from each school within SEAX - and looking forward to the opening of a new school with an Autism Specialism in the future. A Fellow Member of AAT she is dedicated to ensuring that the business life of the Trust and its schools is compliant, but user-friendly.
Darren joined the SEAX Trust in September 2016 as the IT Manager and brings over 20 years’ experience supporting and managing IT solutions, deployed within an educational environment. Darren enjoys travelling and his favourite country is Italy.
Kate Stannard Director of HR Kate joined the staff of Thriftwood School in 2010, having worked in the private sector for some 30 years previously. She moved to work directly for the SEAX Trust in September 2016, taking responsibility for cross-Trust HR provision. She is a Member of the CIPD and is CIPD Level 5 accredited.
